Based in Ellicott City, MD, I’m an enthusiastic educator and proud mom of three. I’ve taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Reading Recovery in Howard County Public Schools, and now specialize in literacy support for learners of all ages.
As a reading specialist, I offer private tutoring for preschool, elementary and middle school students. These services are offered both in schools and in my home, using Orton-Gillingham, an intervention for children with dyslexia. I also work with preschoolers to build foundational skills in phonemic awareness, phonics, and handwriting, blending play with research-based instruction.
Whether your child is just beginning their literacy journey or needs targeted instruction, I’m here to nurture their curiosity and build confidence along their journey to becoming successful readers and writers.
My education includes a B.S. in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Reading. I have a 60-hour training certificate in Orton-Gillingham. I maintain a current Maryland Teaching Certificate and are certified in First Aid and CPR.
